Mathematics and Art Project , "Order in Space'', which brings together mathematicians from Hewlett-Packard's Basic Research Institute (BRIMS) and artists, attempting to create a synthesis of their ideas.

At chemist Nicholas C. DeMello's site,Chemgallery, we find images created with a combination of software including POV-Ray, Photoshop, LightWave, Chem3D, BBEdit , along with his own proprietary programs. The art illustrates some of the research of Prof. Ken Houk's group at UCLA.

At The Center for Scientific Computing in Finland, The Visualization Group has worked with T. Ala-Nissila of the Research Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of Helsinki to come up with a set of animations representing gracefully dissolving droplets.
