Abstract
FISH & Chips
Gene Expression in Single Cells
by
Building on transcription data from microarrays, American researchers have created a three-dimensional, structural representation of gene expression in individual cells. The new technique, a combination of fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and microchip technology, may also have applications as a medical diagnostic tool.
More Complications in the Amyloid Picture

Long before amyloid protein fragments start to form the classic plaques associated with Alzheimer's disease (AD), they are wreaking havoc on a genetic level, Columbia University researchers reported today. A second team warned of A-beta's less notorious relative.
