Born out of a love of fractal geometry, these animal images from Don Archer's Fractal Zoo are some of the freshest examples of fractal art on the web. Archer's gallery is just one facet of an interactive site featuring "U-draw fractals", which will generate images according to numerical data you provide (no math required on your part!). For a comprehensive listing of fractal imagery on the web, visit The Spanky Fractal Database.

Creation Quantum, detail
by Turtle Heart, ? AICAP

Turtle Heart, an Native American Ojibway artist, uses the medium of pixels to explore ancient themes of tribal life. His tools are software like Fractal Design Painter and Adobe Photoshop, and his work can be viewed (and prints purchased) at the The American Indian Computer Art Project website. AICAP embraces the computer as "the best tool in 500 years to give tribal cultures a voice in the world community." The rich and varied links here will give you an idea why: an extensive art library, articles on tribal culture, even custom beadwork pen covers for sale.
