Welcome to the Ped-Onc Resource Center, a web site for parents, friends, and families of children who have or had childhood cancer. This resource center was created by and for people who know young people who are recovering from cancer. Most of the contributors to this site are members of the ACOR pediatric cancer mailing lists, especially ped-onc, ped-onc-survivors, and ALL-kids.
Time-sensitive announcement: Parents of a child who has been diagnosed with cancer at any time is invited to participate in survey-style research project which is undertaken by Desley Stehbens as a requirement for the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree at CQ University Australia. This research focuses on the association between interpersonal relationship styles and successful adaptation despite adversity. Thus, it is hoped to identify the protective internal and external factors that promote healthy functioning in parents of children who have been diagnosed with cancer.
