Alliance for Childhood Cancer - To provide a forum of national patient advocacy groups and medical and scientific organizations which meets regularly, shares ideas and concerns, and works collaboratively to advance research and policies to prevent cancer, and improve public education, and the diagnosis, treatment, supportive care and survivorship of children and adolescents with cancer.

The American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) was founded in 1973 by two families who lost children to brain tumors. They vowed to find answers through research. Today, ABTA is a global organization making major strides by funding brain tumor research and providing the information patients need to make educated decisions about their healthcare.

American Children's Cancer Association - Provides financial support to those families in need.

American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology - The mission of the Society is to advance the knowledge and understanding of pediatric hematology/oncology through annual scientific meetings and cooperation with other national, and international societies, publication of peer reviewed scientific and clinical information. Membership is open to qualified professionals from all countries. ASPH/O's membership includes hematologists, oncologists, and other related clinical specialists and scientists.

Angels of Hope - largely support and information on environmental possible causes and research updates; a general call to cc awareness

Anthony Nolan Research Centre The Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust is a registered UK charity which exists to marrow donors with patients throughout the world, who are in need of life-saving bone marrow transplants. In addition to employing a nationwide network of fund-raisers and London based donor recruitment and Registry personnel, The Trust operates a routine testing laboratory plus a Research Institute with scientists dedicated to making technological breakthroughs in the field of bone marrow transplantation.

Ashley Foundation The Ashley Foundation serves as an essential resource while enhancing and complementing existing community services. Referrals, peer activities, scholarship, support services.

The Association of Pediatric Oncology Nurses (APON) is the leading professional organization for registered nurses caring for children and adolescents with cancer and their families. The highest standards of nursing practice are achieved through education, research, certification, advocacy and affiliation.

Association for the Support of Children with Cancer - ASK steps in at the time of diagnosis to help the family deal with the non-clinical side of what's happening. While the hospital and medical staff focus on the treatment, ASK works to provide the children and their families the quality-of-life support they need to make going through it all less traumatic.

Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation is a national organization dedicated to the fight against pediatric cancer by improving the quality of life for pediatric cancer patients and their families while furthering advancements in research.

Belarus-American Child Health Foundation The Foundation was founded exclusively to undertake and financially support activities designed to improve and enhance the health of children in Eastern and Central Europe, with a special concern for the children from Belarus. Bloomington Candlelighters- family support - Candlelighters

Brain Tumor Foundation for Children, Inc. Located in Georgia. Provides patient conferences, educational information, funds research, and at this time provides financial assistance to families in the southeast. The web site provides information on assistance and fundraisers, links to medical sites, and original articles on various aspects of pediatric brain cancer treatment.

The Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada - supports research into the cause and cure of brain tumors, strives to support and improve the quality of life of those affected, and provides information about brain tumors to the public at large.

The Brittany Miller Foundation is a charitable organization formed in the fall of 1995 to fill a great need in our community: providing financial assistance to families from the Hudson Valley who have children undergoing long-term medical treatment at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. Funds raised will not be used to pay for the child's actual medical care; rather, donations will be made to families for other "hidden" costs, including hotels, restaurants, tolls, gasoline and other miscellaneous expenses incurred by families who must take sick children to hospitals or other facilities for frequent treatments.

The Bryan M. Lawrence Foundation Our Mission: To raise money to assist families in WNY with children who suffer from cancer and need assistance. Includes, but is not limited to; medical bills, mortgage or rent payments, travel related expenses, and the escalating cost of daily cancer treatment. At this point 100 percent of our referrals come from Roswell Park Cancer Institute or Essential care pediatric.

Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) - CPAA is a non-governmental organisation working towards the "Total Management of Cancer" in India and neighbouring countries.Children specific activities: Involvement at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital in their Chemotherapy unit for children. Playgroup for children with leukemia at Ernest Borges Home. Support group for parents at both places.

Cancer Warriors "We aim to encourage and support the children, siblings and caregivers during treatment for childhood cancer, raise funds for childhood cancer research while raising awareness and educating the public about the devastating diagnosis of childhood cancer, and honor the precious, young lives lost. Provide financial support to research organizations for rare cancers that do not get attention and funding from pharmaceutical companies, as well as provide financial support to the families with children battling cancer."

Candlelighters of Puget Sound The foundation whose mission is to educate, support, serve and advocate for children with cancer, their families, survivors of childhood cancer and the professionals who care for them. Candlelighters provides financial and emotional support to childhood cancer patients and their families undergoing treatment at local care facilities, including all of the regional medical centers, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Group Health and Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.

Child Life Institute provides free, supportive educational programs and services to assist children facing serious illnesses and their families and to prevent childhood injuries in several Florida counties.

Childhood Cancer Foundation, CHOC (KwaZulu-Natal Region) The goal of this dedicated group is to improve the welfare and quality of care for children with cancer. The Organisation, which is not Government funded, provides direct practical help to children with cancer, from diagnosis on, recognising the inevitable disruption to family life when a child faces vigorous and often lengthy treatment.

The Jennifer Lynn Stroud Foundation promotes research for a leukemia cure and offers educational, emotional and spiritual support to families impacted by pediatric cancer.

Children With Leukemia Trust CWLT was established in December of 1991 in order to help relieve the financial burden of bone marrow testing and transplants. Founded in the memory of a young child with leukaemia who faced difficulties finding a suitable donor, the charity has gone from strength to strength and helped double the size of the bone marrow donor register.

Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation The Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1988 by dedicated parents, physicians and friends. New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center: Our mission for the 1990's is to develop and participate in research programs that might lead to a cure for all children with cancer, to minimize treatment related side effects and to provide better support services that will improve the quality of life for these children and their families. Children's Cancer Research Group (UK) The Group carries out a programme of epidemiological and follow-up studies of childhood cancer and is responsible for the National Registry of Childhood Tumours.

Children's Health Environmental Coalition a non-profit organization that researches the causes of childhood cancers and their relation to hazards in the environment.

Children's Leukaemia and Cancer Society Based in Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland, but has country branches too. The original impetus, back in 1975, was to provide accommodation and support for country families who had to come to Brisbane for their child's cancer treatment, but its family support services have expanded since then and embrace all families touched by childhood cancer.

Ellie Savage Memorial Trust Our aim is to help children living with cancer and their families by giving financial support, providing clear concise information, as well as funding the desperately needed research into brain tumours.

The European Intergroup Cooperative Ewing's Sarcoma Study (EICESS) was formed in 1992. This is a collaboration of groups in Germany (GPOH), the UK (UKCCSG / MRC), and elsewhere. The aims of the group are to provide the best possible treatment for patients, and to improve survival and advance understanding of Ewing's sarcoma through large randomised clinical trials. The first trial (EICESS'92) is funded by a BIOMED-1 grant.

Families of Children with Cancer We are devoted to education, support, and advocacy for families living with the effects of childhood cancer who are (or were) treated at the Hematology/Oncology Program at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children (HSC). Horses for Hope is a non profit program in Michigan that brings kids with cancer and their families together with horses. We offer free horse riding lessons, trail rides for the kids and their families, a course on "How to take care of your horse" if the kids are granted horse wishes. We also sponsor an annual "Chemo Kid Day" at our barn. Kids come out and spend a day riding, ropin' climbing haymazes, crafts, petting zoo and a hayride.

Icla da Silva Foundation - helping children with leukemia Our mission is to assist patients and their families seeking medical treatment by offering logistical, emotional, and whenever possible, financial support. Our focus is on children needing bone marrow transplants, but we will help any family in need.

International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parent Organizations Is an international network through which its member organizations may share information to build better links between parents and health care professionals. Promotes greater awareness and understanding of the issues and effects of childhood cancer on an international level with other health or child related organizations

International Union Against Cancer The group itself doesn’t offer a lot for childhood cancer specific concerns, but, it has a fantastic number of links to a huge number of countries.

Irish Cancer Society: Cancer Plus The aim of the group is to provide support and information for parents both on an individual basis and as a group.

Ivan and Sam Foundation The Ivan and Sam Foundation, a 501(C)(3) non-profit, was created by Country Music Recording Artist and cancer survivor, Karen Shayne in honor of the many children who will hear the words “You Have Cancer.” The foundation was formed with the goal of assisting children and their families by producing and distributing educational material that will reduce fear and aid in the understanding of childhood cancer and its effects. In addition, The Ivan & Sam Foundation is committed to funding research in the pediatric oncology field.

Jacob's Heart Children's Cancer Association is dedicated to helping Bay Area families endure the hardship faced by having a child with pediatric cancer.

James Croft Hope Foundation The Foundation is based in Australia and assists families of children with brain tumors. The web site, begun in 2001, is a good source of information on pediatric brain tumors, including a bibliography of journal articles and clinical trials as well as good descriptions of brain tumors and their treatment.

Jarrett’s Joy Cart Jarrett's Joy Cart is a non-profit charitable organization. All funds collected are used to purchase toys for distribution to pediatric patients at the local Children's Hospital.

JSF Foundation - Justin Scott Foster Foundation for Pediatric Cancers Welcome to the home page of the Justin Scott Foster Foundation for Pediatric Cancers, a non-profit organization originally created to help a seriously ill little boy named Justin Scott Foster, his family and others deal with the burdens that come with having life threatening diseases. Lainie's Angels Our primary task is to put a network of healthcare staff, counselors and peer support in place for these families that will serve to educate them, help them understand complex medical information, and offer ongoing guidance and support.

Leukaemia Busters is a registered charity based at Southampton General Hospital in the United Kingdom. The charity raises money to fund research work in The Simon Flavell Leukaemia Research Unit in Southampton where immunotoxin type therapies are under development for clinical use in patients with leukaemia and lymphoma.

Leukaemia CARE was formed as The Leukaemia Care Society in 1967 by a small group of parents - some of whom had children with leukaemia, others who had lost children through the illness. All were aware of the way in which serious illness isolates patients and their families from the community. They joined together for mutual support and friendship and to help families of newly diagnosed patients in the same position. Then, as now, the Society offered reassurance to these families that they were not alone.

MACC Fund - Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, INC. (fundraising)

Magic Key Magic Key works with children mainly from Moscow who have, or are recovering from, cancer. More than 1, 000 children in Moscow have successfully survived cancer. At present Russian children with cancer often spend up to a year in hospital separated from most of their loved ones. This obviously causes huge emotional problems for everyone. The main aim of our organisation is to help these children and their families -totalling some 10, 000 people who need our support.

National Brain Tumor Foundation First, we provide patients and families the information they need to successfully cope with their illness through the following:Secondly, to fund promising research that will result in more effective treatments and eventually a cure. To date, NBTF has granted $1.2 million dollars toward research funding.

The National Childhood Cancer Foundation (NCCF) is a non-profit organization which supports pediatric cancer treatment and research projects at over 115 of the most prestigious pediatric medical institutions in the U.S., Canada and Australia. This network of 2800 pediatric cancer specialists is called the Children's Cancer Group (CCG).

The Neuroblastoma Children's Cancer Society is a group mainly of volunteers, many with children or relatives of victims or survivors of the disease. The organization is an advocate for the children and their families and is dedicated to provide support. The primary focus of the organization is to raise money to assist local research in neuroblastoma cancer and to bring the fight to a national level to try and focus additional research and funding until a cure can be found.

Neuroblastoma Society of UK The Aims of the Society To raise funds for medical research into improving both the diagnosis and treatment of neuroblastoma in the United Kingdom. The Society also offers an opportunity for parents to give each other mutual help, support and comfort. Through the efforts of its officers, the Society aims to keep its members updated on the latest treatments applicable to neuroblastoma and any other medical advances relevant to the disease. This will be accomplished by supplying members with regular Newsletters - something we manage to do four times a year.

Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation The Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation provides social, emotional, educational and psychological support services to families of all children diagnosed with life threatening illnesses such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell anemia and other immunological and renal diseases. We help children with any serious or life threatening illness and their families. Every summer, the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation sponsors a Camp Cartwheel for sick children and their siblings. New England Retinoblastoma Support Group - I have no information on this group

North of England Children's Cancer Research Fund The NECCR was formed in 1979 by a small group of parents whose lives had been overcome the disease. The NECCR now has a number of local branches, and the group holds regular meetings. New members are always welcome and if you would like to help in any way, please contact us at the address below. The charity successfully supports a large amount of research in the North of England.

OCF-OCF serves pediatric cancer patients who reside in or receive treatment in Orange County, California. The kids and their siblings are treated to trips to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm, a blowout holiday party in December, and, best of all, the "World's Greatest Camp".

One Voice USA - raising money to fight childhood cancer

Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation of the United States (PBTFUS) The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation of the United States (PBTFUS) seeks to find the cause and cure of brain tumors in children by supporting medical research, increasing public awareness of the disease and aiding in early detection and treatment of childhood brain tumors. Promotes awareness of pediatric brain tumors, provides patient support, internet conferences, and publishes educational materials and a quarterly newsletter, The Helping Hand. Scholarships are available for pediatric brain tumor survivors who wish to extend their education past the high school level.

Pediatric Cancer Foundation - NY - With a pledge of $300,000 this year to both Sloan Kettering Memorial and Babies Hospital, we will support research projects and patient care. (Babies Hospital, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center) We fund institutions that are leaders in pediatric cancer research and are centers to which children from all parts of the continent come to be diagnosed and treated.

Pediatric Cancer Foundation - Penn. Network of parents and professionals who aim to help children diagnosed with cancer and their families by providing support, resources, programs and services as well as continually promote pediatric oncology awareness and advocacy within the community.

The charity receives no government aid and depends entirely upon donations from the public and private fund-raising efforts. Zig the Pig - Zig the Pig, the adorable zebra-striped pig, promotes pediatric cancer awareness and education, teaches children how to help other children in need, and helps fund programs to meet the non-medical needs of South Carolina families facing pediatric cancer. Zig works with his sister organization to provide funds for programs in the pediatric oncology clinics in our state to meet the emotional and financial needs of these families. These programs focus on keeping the family intact and functional during this crisis. Zig’s powerful storybook, Zig Goes to School, tells of Zig’s experience with cancer as a wee pig and his promise once he gets well to help other children going through this devastating disease. Because Zig is a pig, he addresses pediatric cancer in a non-threatening way and helps recently diagnosed children feel less scared, isolated and alone. Zink the Zebra Foundation believes that no child should suffer the physical pain of childhood cancer and the psycho-social pain of rejection and scorn that so often accompanies the disease. Zink's story was written by Les Weil's 11-year-old daughter Kelly, who died of leukemia in 1993.
