I guess I was still hoping for a miracle. I've come to look at this
list as my family and I know...he's in a better place, etc.,
etc. but I'm still going to miss him. I guess we could look at it as
we now have someone on the otherside watching over us.

i'm not sure how this will be taken but might we consider a memorial
page on our web site?
sort of our own "wall."
a place to visit to remember those of us who have "left" but are still
remembered by friends?

Another post from Cancer-L about Barry:
I hope this is helpful for those in the area. Barry will be sorely missed. Cancer-L is full of messages about him. He is one of those people whose death has caused ripples through many, many people's lives.
Such a testimony to what a wonderful person he was. I'm really going to miss him.

What is there to say? We all lose something without Barry, don't we?
No doubt, our Pooh will bless us with some wisdom and comfort. I will
send out a prayer call to the KTF! Posse for Elaine. Don't know what
else to do....

Dear All,
I'm still reeling from the news of Barry's passing. I've lost my
mentor and a wonderful friend.
Art Flatau and I run leukemia links together and we are old friends of
Barry's. In his memory, we are working on a web page of memorials. If
you have posted to the list today about Barry, I hope you will give us
permission to use your post on the webpage. If you wish to participate
in the memorial page, please post directly to lackritz@mvp.net or to
flataua@acm.org
Thanks for your help in this endeavor to honor a very special
individual.

What a beautiful post, Paul. Thank you. I wrote to him once privately
to ask a computer question, and got back a long and thoughtful
answer. He had time for us.
I have just lost another friend to death, Linda, from a blood clot in
the brain. I met her online, and we had been corresponding since
September...our mutual disease was COPD. These losses are very
hard. Thank you for making them gentler.

I only had the opportunity to communicate with Barry Wolman for about
3 weeks prior to his last fight. He responded with a ton of
information and in a very open, friendly, and positive way---in such a
way that I actually felt like I was getting to know him even though we
never met.
I'm sorry to hear the bad news and can only offer our prayers for his
family and friends.
