We invite you to become a subscriber to this unmoderated discussion list for patients, family, friends, researchers, and physicians, to discuss clinical and nonclinical issues and advances pertaining to Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.
It includes patient experiences, psychosocial issues, new research, clinical trials, and discussions of current treatment practices and alternatives. The principal focus is expected to be information and reassurance for patients and loved ones.
This list is entirely free, and is run completely by volunteers.
While some of the messages will be devoted to announcements and discussions of medical advances, as well as to therapeutic treatment, both main stream and alternative; the main focus of the CLL Mailing List is intended to be a forum for patients with CLL and their loved ones to exchange experiences on coping with the disease and to gain information which is often hard to find.
The CLL List Survey done May-June, 1998. The results of a survey of people with CLL, members of the internet CLL list, provides interesting statistics about CLL and our experiences with diagnosis, treatment, and stage at diagnosis. This is the only resource of its kind on the web done by patients, for patients, using our own cll experience for data.
Photos of your ListManagers and those who post to the lists are here for you. Put the faces with the names of those from whom you hear regularly. If you wish to have your photo included, just email it as an attachment to lackritz@aol.com.
When you subscribe to CLL you join a group of about 500 or more patients, caretakers, doctors, nurses, and/or social workers who share information about diagnosis, treatment possibilities, options and alternatives. No specific medical advice will be provided for individuals. That must be discussed with one's own medical practitioner. However, suggestions for clinical trials, treatment possibilities, cancer centers, and patient experiences with each of the above, are grist for the CLL mill.
