  • Kelly Hatfield lives in Michigan and was diagnosed with ALL in July, 2002. Kelly relapsed and had a transplant from a Matched Unrelated Donor (MUD) in March, 2005.

 Childhood Survivors of ALL
  • Katy Herron's Leukemia Page. On May 14, 1996, three year old Katy Herron was diagnosed with high risk acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). While she was completing treatment the family moved, and she is now being treated at MD Anderson in Orlando, Florida.

  • Milton Mermikides is a muscian living in Hampton, Middlesex, England. He was diagnosed with ALL in November, 2004. His web page promotes "a positive approach to healing and dealing with serious disease". Do not worry, your hair is unlikely to grow back like his!

  • Bobby McQuin was diagnosed with ALL in 1987 at the age of 8. He relapsed twice before having a BMT in September, 1993, with his brother Craig as the donor. His site chronicles his bicycle trip across America in the Spring of 1999 to raise awareness of childhood cancer.

  • Rachel's Page. Rachel is a 7 year old with ALL. Her mother Monica wants to starts a support network for children with cancer, where kids with cancer are paired up with other children who have cancer.

  • Dillon Sligter lives in Canada and was diagnosed pre-B Cell ALL in October 1998 at the age of 16 months. He was considered standard risk and was treated with chemotherapy. Unfortunately he relapsed in the marrow and both testicles in October, 2000. He is scheduled for a matched unrelated donor transplant in 2001.

  • Travis Yon is a 5 year old from Illinois who was diagnosed with Philadelphia Chromosome Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (Ph+ ALL) in May 1998. He had a BMT from a matched unrelated donor (MUD) September 17, 1998 Travis at Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin. There is a wealth of information on marrow drives on this page.

 In Memory of Those Who Passed Away from Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL)

  • Gregory Brown was diagnosed with ALL in March 1999 at the age of 14. He passed away on September 14, 1999 from complications of a bone marrow transplant.

  • Rachel Blackwood passed away at the age of 18 from ALL. She lived in Prescott, Arizona.

  • Yossi Chain , passed away in March, 2001 after two bone marrow transplants using two different matched unrelated donors. Yossi was diagnosed with ALL in September, 1997 at the age of 9..

  • Joshua Eaton's Story --a seven year old with Philadelphia chromosome positive ALL who had a BMT and lives in Indiana. On March 14, 1997, one year post BMT, Joshua suffered a relapse. He passed away October 15, 1997 surrounded by his Mom, Dad, his brothers Jason and Chaz, his Uncle Richard and his nurse.

  • Doris Gowen was diagnosed with high-risk ALL in May, 1998 at the age of 12. She relapsed in October, 1998 and had a bone marrow transplant with her sister Rose being the donor. She relapsed again in March, 1999 and passed away in May 1999 at the age of 13.

  • Lucas Taylor Samuel Hansen passed away July 13, 1999 at the age of 17 from complications of ALL. He lived Australia.

  • James Ledwith passed away from relapsed leukemia on July 4th, 1996. He was treated at the University of New Mexico by Marilyn Duncan, who did not use then current treatment guidelines for pediatric ALL. A memorial scholarship has been set up in James' memory.

  • Shaun M. Simpson an honor student and promising musician, aged 17, of Everett/Seattle, Washington, lost his battle with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia in October, 1996 after a bone marrow transplant donated by his father. This is a moving, warm tribute of a father for his son.

  • Steven Trapp lived in San Antonio, Texas with his parent's Linda and Dave and two sisters Emily and Meredith. He was diagnosed with PH+ ALL in February, 2002 and had a BMT in June, 2002. He relapsed in September, 2003 and passed away July 13, 2004 at the age of 5.

  • Paigé Wilsek lived in Illinois and courageously battled ALL for 3 years. On August 7, in the arms of her family and surrounded by friends, she passed away. She was 9 years old.
