e-Patients: How they can help us heal healthcare
Tom Ferguson, MD
with the e-patients scholars working group
Welcome! The e-Patients White Paper is a research project supported by
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Quality Health Care Grant #043806.
This site provides access to the White Paper in 2 different formats:
- Table of Contents The White Paper in editable Wiki format]
- The White Paper in PDF Format (The epoch document)
Why the 2 formats?
Tom Ferguson was a strong proponent of developing an online system for medical living documents, where informed patients (e-Patients) could cooperatively improve upon the quality of the original documents. This wiki is dedicated to his vision and is the first example of the new system.
You are invited to edit any part of this document as well as add any new section on topics relevant to the understanding of how e-patients are helping to improve the healthcare system(s). For quality control purposes, anonymous editing is not allowed. You have to register first.
If you have questions about e-Patients, please do not hesitate to contact us.
